Denham Golf Club
Denham, Buckinghamshire. A Harry Colt parkland course with its own railway station, a clubhouse in converted 16th-century farm buildings and a 2026 England Top 100 debut.
Denham Golf Club sits in the Colne Valley on the Buckinghamshire and Middlesex border, just inside the M25 and roughly 20 miles from central London. It has its own railway station next to the course, opened in 1912, with trains to London Marylebone, which makes it easy to reach from the capital.
Founded in 1910 on the Hill Barn Farm estate, the course opened on 29 May 1911. Harry Colt was the architect, with James Braid revising part of the layout in the 1920s to create the 15th and 16th holes, and a recent renovation led by Clyde Johnson has restored its strategic character. It is a par 70 for men and measures about 6,490 yards, primarily parkland with heathland features. The 7th is a strong par 4 of 455 yards, and there are only two par 5s, at the 13th and 14th. The 16th is a par 3 with a green that slopes from three sides. Top100GolfCourses lists Denham as a new entry to its 2026 England Top 100.
The clubhouse is built around converted 16th-century farm buildings and gives the round a warm, traditional finish, with a dining room and a south-facing terrace overlooking the putting green.
