The Addington Golf Club is a rare Golden Age heathland course on the southern edge of London at Croydon, about 10 miles from the centre of the capital. Founded in 1913 and laid out by John Frederick Abercromby, it is ranked 74th in Britain and Ireland and 30th in England by Top 100 Golf Courses. Novelist P.G. Wodehouse was among its interwar members, and King George VI became a patron in 1937.
