The ultimate heathland experience. Based at a single luxury hotel throughout, your clients play four of the world’s great inland courses with zero hotel changes, effortless daily transfers and the kind of seamless service that makes a trip feel effortless. This is the itinerary we recommend most frequently to US operators bringing groups to England for the first time.
Private chauffeur meet-and-greet at Heathrow arrivals, followed by a seamless executive transfer to Fairmont Windsor Park. After checking in, the group can enjoy lunch at the hotel, spend the afternoon at leisure, or take an optional visit to Windsor Castle. The day concludes with a welcome dinner at the hotel’s signature restaurant — a chance for the group to settle in and anticipate the golf ahead.
Following breakfast, an executive coach transfers the group to Sunningdale. A morning transfer brings the group to Walton Heath. The Old Course here is unlike any other heathland course in England — set on the open Surrey Hills with an exposed, windswept character that gives it a links-like quality. Host of the 1981 Ryder Cup, it is a course that demands respect and rewards great golf. The evening features dinner at a carefully selected local Surrey restaurant, chosen to match the group’s preferences.
A short transfer takes the group to The Berkshire. Set in 400 acres of Crown Estate woodland, it is one of England’s most exclusive private clubs. The Red Course is Herbert Fowler’s 1928 masterpiece — a course of exceptional beauty and strategic intelligence. An afternoon option is available for a second round on the Blue Course for those who wish to experience both layouts. The day concludes with a final group dinner at the hotel.
The final day features a morning round at St George’s Hill — H.S. Colt’s 1912 masterpiece carved through the wooded hills above Weybridge. It is an atmospheric, undulating course of great beauty. Following a post-round lunch in the clubhouse, an executive transfer returns the group to Heathrow for departing flights, with the GTL team ensuring a seamless departure.

Lunch in the clubhouse. Return to London for an evening at leisure, or GTL-arranged theatre tickets for the West End.
Transfer to Sunningdale (45 minutes from central London). Morning round on the Old or New Course — the group’s choice. Lunch in the clubhouse. Afternoon visit to Windsor Castle — a 20-minute drive from Sunningdale and one of the most popular experiences for American visitors. Return to London for a final group dinner — GTL will arrange a private dining room at a restaurant of the group’s choosing.
Breakfast at leisure. Morning free for shopping in Mayfair or Bond Street, or a final London experience of the group’s choice — GTL can arrange private shopping appointments, gallery visits or guided tours. Executive transfer to Heathrow for departing flights. GTL team on hand throughout.
