The Bell Hotel is a Grade II listed boutique hotel on the Quay at Sandwich in Kent, overlooking the River Stour in one of the original Cinque Ports towns. It has 37 individually decorated bedrooms, some with roll-top baths or four-poster beds and a number with river views, It is run by Shepherd Neame, Britain’s oldest brewer.
Sandwich is the gateway to the Kent links, and The Bell is one of the most convenient places to stay for them. Royal St George’s, which has hosted The Open Championship 15 times most recently in 2021, is within about two miles. Prince’s and Royal Cinque Ports are both a short drive away, with Littlestone and the clifftop courses at North Foreland and Walmer and Kingsdown also within reach.
