Brooklands Hotel is a four-star Art Deco hotel and spa at Weybridge in Surrey, on the site of the historic Brooklands motor racing circuit, the birthplace of British motorsport. Opened in 2010, it has 131 bedrooms, many with balconies and track views over the Mercedes-Benz World circuit, and a design that nods to the racing history of the site.
Brooklands sits in the middle of Surrey’s heathland golf, and St George’s Hill Golf Club, a Harry Colt-designed course, recommends the hotel to its visitors as a place to stay, around two miles away. There is no golf course at the hotel, so tee times at these private clubs need to be arranged in advance, and Golf Tours London can build them into a bespoke itinerary and organise transport between the hotel and the courses.
The award-shortlisted BSpa has 11 treatment rooms, a Himalayan salt room, Finnish and infrared saunas, a steam room and an outdoor hydrotherapy hot tub, ideal for tired legs after a round. Dining is at the 1907 restaurant, named after the year the circuit opened, which serves classic dishes with a modern twist, and at Vetro, which serves pizza and pasta.
Brooklands Museum and Mercedes-Benz World are both close by. Weybridge station is a nine-minute drive away, with trains to London Waterloo in around 30 to 40 minutes, and Heathrow is about eight miles away.
