The Lodge at Prince’s

The Lodge at Prince’s is a golfer’s stay at the entrance to Prince’s Golf Club at Sandwich Bay in Kent, overlooking the bay with views towards the English Channel. It has 12 bedrooms across two floors, two double-bedded suites, including the Links Suite and Bay Suite, and a set of contemporary apartments for groups and families. Every room has club storage, and dogs are welcome.
Prince’s is a championship links of 27 holes, made up of the Shore, Dunes and Himalayas nine-hole loops. It hosted the 1932 Open Championship, won by Gene Sarazen, and is due to host the Walker Cup in 2030. The Lodge sits at the entrance to the course, so the first tee is close by. Royal St George’s borders Prince’s and Royal Cinque Ports is a short drive away, and tee times at these private clubs need to be arranged in advance. Meals are served at the 1932 Grill, which focuses on seasonal Kentish produce, and there is a bar and terrace. The practice facilities include a driving range, chipping area and putting green, and guests have access to the gym, sauna and steam room at the nearby Baypoint Sports Club.
The Lodge is less than two hours by road from central London and around 45 minutes from Folkestone and the Channel Tunnel. The historic town of Sandwich is close by.
